Regulations - Blyton Park Sprint Weekend

14th and 15th June 2025

 

  1. The Yorkshire Motor Club is the organising Club and Promoter. The Club is a registered club with Motorsport UK Club ID: 410904. Motorsport UK Interclub permit No: 202868
  2. Held under the National Competition Rules of Motorsport UK (Incorporating the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA) and these supplementary regulations.
  3. A double header sprint event will be held on the sprint circuits at Blyton Park, Old Blyton Airfield, Kirton Rd, Blyton. Gainsborough. DN21 3PE on the 14th and 15th June 2025. The length of the course is 1854 metres on Saturday and 2220 metres on Sunday. The event will consist of 1 practise run and four timed runs to count. The order will be issued in the final instructions.
  4. These regulations should be read in conjunction with Motorsport UK National Competition Rules, Chapter 14 also in conjunction with Chapters 1 -11 inclusive all of which apply except where specifically modified by the text of this Chapter.
  5. All competitors must hold a valid Competition Licence that is appropriate for the event entered and to have proof of Club Membership.

Competitors from overseas may compete in the meeting providing they can provide their ASN details to the secretary of the meeting before the event commencing.

Competitors will be asked to produce all relevant documentation on the day.

A failure to produce the appropriate licence will result in a non-production fee NCR Ch3 APRI ART 12.2

  1. Entries open on the publication of these Supplementary Regulations and close on the Friday the 6th of June 2025.
  2. In addition to Motorsport UK NCR, CH3, App.5 ART8 and CH.3 APP.5 ART9. The organisers reserve the right to refuse any entry at their discretion. Acknowledgement of submission will be automatic return e-mail, the entry will be either accepted, refused or deferred within seven days of receipt up to the closing date as per the NCR Motorsport Uk CH3, APP 5 ,ART 6 and will be sent by e-mail
  3. Entry Fees: 1 day - £160, Full weekend £300. All entries must be made via the Rallies-Info online form at https://www.rallies.info/webentry/2025/blytonpark/

Entries cancelled in writing to the secretary of the meeting before closing date and in time will receive a full refund.

  1. The maximum number of entries is stated at 120 plus reserve entries. Entries will be accepted strictly in order of receipt via the Rallies-Info online form
  2. In the unfortunate situation of postponement, abandonment or cancellation of the event because of circumstances beyond our control e.g. force majeure, viral pandemic, dictates from government and or Motorsport UK etc we may return event fees less the actual costs incurred by the club.
  3. The event is open to all fully elected members of the Associations listed and Invited Clubs

Standard Cars

    1.      SA Sports and Saloon Cars up to and including 1400cc.

SB Sports and Saloon Cars 1400cc up to and including 2000cc

    1. Road Cars – Series Production

1a     Sports and Saloons up to and including 1400cc

1b    Sports and Saloons 1401cc up to and including 2000cc  

1c     Sports and Saloons Cars 2001cc and above.

1d    Lotus Elise and other non-ferrous chassis construction cars

1e.   Four-wheel drive cars of any capacity

 

    1. Road Cars – Specialist Production

2a    Cars up to and including 1700cc – car derived engines

2b    Cars 1700cc and above – car derived engines

2c    Cars employing Motorcycle derived engine

 

    1. Modified Cars Series Production

3a    Car up to and including 1400cc

3b    Cars from 1400cc up to 2000cc

3c    Cars 2001cc and above

3d    Lotus Elise and other non-ferrous chassis construction cars

 

    1. Modified Cars Specialist Production.

3e     Cars up to and including 1700cc – car derived engines

3f      Cars 1700cc and above – car derived engines

3g     Cars employing Motorcycle derived engines.

 

    1. Sports Libre Cars

4a    Cars up to and including 1700cc

4b    Cars 1701cc and above

 

    1. Racing Cars

5a    Cars up to and including 1100cc

5b    Formula Ford 1600cc Racings cars manufactured before 1st January 1994

5c    Cars 1101cc up to and including 1600cc.

5d    Cars 1601cc up to and including 2000cc

5e    Cars 2001cc and above

 

    1. Rally Car Class

RC1   Rally Cars conforming to NCR CH.14, App.4, Art.24-31 up to and including 1800cc

RC2   Rally Cars conforming to NCR CH.14, App.4, Art.24-31,1801cc and above

 

    1. Junior Class

J1   Junior Sprint Cars conforming to NCR CH.14, App.2, Art.1.9

 

Additional Classes 

12b       Yorkshire Motor Club the organisers reserve the right to include additional Classes should they be required.

12c       Yorkshire Motor Club is not able to accept entries for electric or hybrid vehicles.

13         All vehicles will be scrutineered in their paddock space at the times listed in the final instructions. All vehicles competing must be presented for scrutineering with a valid competition car logbook or vehicle passport or an ASN recognised vehicle identity document unless the vehicle is currently licenced for use on the public highway and is competing in a road legal condition. The onus of proof rests with the competitor - See NCR appendix 4 technical regulations.            

14         Cars will be started singularly on arrival at the start line. A red light will be displayed, cars will be set up in line with the timing gear, rear wheels will be chocked and once the red light changes to green the driver may commence their run promptly.  A car will be deemed to have started when the vehicle breaks the beam starting the electronic timing apparatus.

 15         Competitors will be identified by competition numbers as defined by NCR CH.14, APP.2, ART. 3.1 or agreed by the Chief Timekeeper

                 a)          Numbers must be displayed on both sides of the car.

b)          A third set of numbers which can be smaller must be displayed on the front right-hand side of the car to enable the timekeepers to identify cars approaching the start line      

c)          If numbers are not visible to timekeepers, then the car may not be allowed to run.

d)          When two drivers compete in the same car two sets of numbers must be provided by the entrant and changed as necessary.

e)          as specified by current Motorsport UK NCR S 9 NCLS 9 2.1. 6 competition numbers must be covered or removed whilst driving on the public highway

              16         Judges of Fact

a)          the Chief Scrutineer of the event and members of the Technical Commission are considered Judges of Fact in respect of vehicle eligibility as per the NCR Motorsport UK

b)          Environmental Scrutineers in charge of sound meters are considered Judges of Fact in respect of sound as per the NCR Motorsport UK Max 105db

c)          The Chief Timekeeper is considered as Judge of Fact in respect of:

              a) CH14; APP3; ART3,9A Unsatisfactory or false starts

              b)  CH14; APP3; ART39b Not following correct course of removing a    marker (Flip-Flop)

              c)  CH14; APP3; ART3.9 -  Baulkline

              d)   CH2; APP1; ART1.14   - Contravention of Flag and/or Light Signals.

              17         Marking and penalties will be as printed in the appropriate section of the NCR Motorsport UK, excluding the following notifications.

a)  If all four wheels cross the white line beside the edge of the tarmac, no time will be recorded CH14:3

b)  A five second penalty will be applied if bollards on any bend are touched.  CH14:3

              18         Awards and Trophies

Classes may be amalgamated if the minimum entry per class is not reached so awards can be given.

  4. Any additional awards will be listed in the final instructions.

              20    Results

Provisional results will be published after each class has been completed and these will be posted on the notice board in the main office after each run.

In the In event of a tie between 2 competitors tying for an award, the competitor with the lowest aggregate times will be the winner if the result is still a tie the stewards of the meeting shall decide on a suitable solution.

21         Regulations concerning protests and appeals can now be found in Motorsport UK NCR chapter 2

22         A socially minded standard of behaviour is expected from everyone within the motor sport community and by participating in a Motorsport UK event in any capacity you agree to follow the values of the respect code. www.MotorsportUK.org/racewithrespect

  5. Respect the rules regulations and the authority of the officials and Motorsport UK - any breach of these obligations may result in disciplinary action.
